We are excited to add a Product Director to our team to lead the strategy, roadmap and delivery of the NuEnergy.ai Machine Trust Platform™ and the indexes built on it. In this role, you will align market and customer requirements for government, law enforcement and regulated sectors with software development, delivery, and sales execution to drive product-market fit and commercial success.

The Product Director will own the product vision, roadmap and outcomes for NuEnergy.ai’s AI governance software, from customer discovery through release and adoption. This role is ideal for a hands-on product leader who has taken B2B or enterprise software from early traction to scale, and who is comfortable working in a regulated, trust-sensitive market. You will partner with the CEO on product strategy, lead prioritization with Software Development, and work alongside Sales and Program Delivery so that what we build reflects real customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

Product strategy and roadmap

• Define and maintain the product vision and multi-quarter roadmap for the Machine Trust Platform™, aligned with company strategy
• Prioritize features and investments using customer evidence, market insight and commercial impact
• Track AI governance standards, regulation and public-sector policy, and reflect relevant changes in the roadmap

Customer discovery and requirements

• Lead discovery with customers and prospects in government, law enforcement and regulated sectors to understand their AI governance needs
• Translate insights into clear product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Gather and act on feedback from Program Delivery and customer engagements, including assessment and index use cases

Delivery and release

• Work with Software Development to ensure a scalable platform architecture
• Define product success measures and report on adoption, usage and customer outcomes
• Oversee product documentation, release notes and internal enablement
• Drive security approvals for the Machine Trust Platform™

Go-to-market

• Work with Sales and Marketing on positioning, packaging, pricing and product demonstrations
• Support proposals and public-sector procurement responses with product content and roadmap input
• Represent the product with customers, partners and at industry events, as needed

Leadership and collaboration

• Work with cross-functional teams (Sales, Software Development, Program Delivery, AI Trust Faculty) to agree priorities and trade-offs
• Provide regular updates to the CEO and leadership on roadmap progress, risks and product performance
• Help build product management practices as the team grows, and mentor team members
• Contribute to fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team culture, consistent with NuEnergy.ai’s values of trust, transparency, and principled, ethical AI

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in product management, including at least 3 years leading product strategy for B2B, SaaS or enterprise software
• A track record of taking products from discovery through launch and adoption
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile delivery
• Working understanding of AI and machine learning concepts, and of how organizations adopt and govern AI
• Experience engaging directly with enterprise or public-sector customers
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work constructively in an office team environment, as well as a virtual team environment
• Ability to travel as needed
• Willing to obtain Government of Canada security clearance and background check

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI governance, risk, compliance (for example SOC 2) or trust products
• Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, ISO/IEC 42001, the EU AI Act and the Government of Canada Directive on Automated Decision-Making
• Experience working with the Government of Canada or regulated sectors (for example financial services, healthcare or law enforcement)
• Experience with pricing, packaging and go-to-market for SaaS products
• Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment
• Experience with product tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma and product analytics
• Bilingualism (English/French), an MBA or a product management certification are assets
